fire up the sewing maching

found this just in time for warm weather and barbecues, thanks to megan bliven. this is part of a tasty series by ed bing lee. his wonderful attention to the details and fabric choice of waxed linen bring these "delectables" to life. make sure to also check out the burger.

super light turkey

i'm not one to turn to meat in a can. although, i am not opposed to this canned turkey. mostly because you don't eat it, you inflate it. don't want to test the sharp knives on this one folks.

more yummy boo boo covers

so maybe bacon is not your thing, that's ok, because you can also help heal those wounds with steak-shaped band-aids! it's always nice to know there are options.

other uses for a paper cutter

what a fun little gif animation! made by johnny kelly and matt cooper, who are from england, and are not artists. ah, the cry of the designer. another thanks to mc for finding me some good stuff.

taco dog

well, i guess you can't have a taco cat without a taco dog. i thought i would throw this in for contrast.

undercooked ipod

what makes you want to break out and dance more in the subway than a realistic raw meat cover for your ipod?? also, got to love the packaging. this thing looks like you could have just picked it up from the meat counter at your super market! unfortunately, the site this is from is not selling it anymore or something. i'm not sure what exactly is up with it, considering the only language i speak is english, unfortunately.

julian

this poster is part of a body of work done for julian, a kansas city restaurant. i love the how the states are laid out inside the cow, with texas hanging down. not only do they have some cool posters, which are totally steal-worthy, but the rest of their design also has the same subtle color pallet and attention to typography.

not-so-dirty buns

a *clean* and simple ad for vanish, a laundry detergent. excuse my pun. it was created by euro rsgc in warsaw, poland.

dog loaf

its not exactly meat, but it is still hilarious. lowe, in indonesia, gets a gold star for the idea to scrunch up a dog to look like that, it made me melt. the tag line for this lifebouy soap ad is, "you eat what you touch."

more forks?

so would you prefer more sausage, or more forks? i came across this illustration on getty. i loved the simple style and minimal colors. although really, who would ever need that many forks for a single sausage? i say go against the grain, eat with your hands!

the best tool kit ever

This tool kit won't help you fix any of your household problems, but it certainly makes for an interesting photo. complements of my friend MC.

bacon keeps you warm

wrap this around your neck and you will be warm and hungry all day! perhaps not the best scarf for someone on a diet. i found this on monster-munch, but unfortunately they did not post an artist, or where this scarf can be purchased.

burgers for a bakery

these tasty treats are not hamburgers, they are cupcakes and brownies! not only are these cupcakes super cute, you can also find out how to make them at bakerella.com. there you will see recipe and downloadable pdfs for the tray and other fix-ins.

ouch, don't pick at my band-aid!

make your boo-boos taste better with a bacon band-aid. apparently there is also a toy inside. all this fun for under $5. I'm assuming that that's pretty much normal for a box of band-aids, but i haven't bought any in a while. maybe it's time to pick up a tastier pack!

sausage and beans

this wonderfully simple image was made by Andi Farr, a freelance graphic+web designer from northeast england.

taco cat

found this on ffffound. i think its pretty funny, especially because the look on the cat's face says, "i'm constipated."

mouthwatering soap

when i first saw this, i thought it was that plastic food you played with when you were five. well, that's not what this is, although i don't see why your kid couldn't play with it, it's soap. unlike some things on this blog, it is also vegan friendly. although it looks like a burger and fries, it does not smell like a burger and fries, they smell like bakery items and soda, which is probably a good thing.

beautiful sausage

this packaging of dymov ultra sausage was designed by firma in russia. it comes in an sumptuous array of beautiful patterns and colors. i have to say, i'm not much of a sausage fan, but this makes me think i might need to give it another chance!

plushy

who wouldn't want to cuddle up with a giant ham at night? sweet meats, created by lauren venell, are an interesting twist on the world of stuffed animals. although, i don't see this helping america's obesity problem, with a child spooning a steak at night.

meataterian

a teacher of mine had shown us this viral video his agency, kirshenbaum bond, had unleashed on the world. i hear that this is how the best vegetables are fed.

simply bacon

this is a piece (of bacon) made by sarah illenberger for enroute magazine. i love how it is both so flat and so three dimensional, such a neat dichotomy. i feel like i've been seeing this a lot lately.

meat lovers

here is some stop motion at its finest. don't we all wish we could be as happy as these two hunks of meat? well, except before they are fried.

a typeface to keep refrigerated

an individually packed meat typeface, by robert bolesta, a pratt graduate.

a tasty bouquet

i found this balloon bouquet a while ago, i believe through ffffound. unfortunately, since i'm not quite sure of where it is from, i also don't know the artist. anyway, it is a cool perspective, considering this is not on a table, but floating in front of a giant plate. for my graduation, i don't want a shiny silver balloon and flowers, i want one of these!

inspiration

about this time last year i was assigned a lion brand yarn campaign. so, taking my knitting ability, i decided to knit something that would not commonly be knit, like, say, a steak. after knitting this steak, i took it to the grocery store and had it shrink wrapped on a styrofoam tray. needless to say, everyone loved it. above is one of the finished print ads. unfortunately, im not a photographer, so the photo is sub-par. after this, i continued to knit other meats and people kept sending me meat related art. thus a new blog is born!
